Hold what you imported against your old system's own figures, before you import and after, on the finish screen, Revenue, Customers and three customers' profiles.

A move is only done when your numbers agree with your old system's. Check them twice: in the file before you import, and in Owelz afterwards. It takes a few minutes and catches what a preview can't, such as a month missing from the export.

Ask your old system for its figures first

Before you start, write down from your old system, for the same period as your export:

  • how many customers you have, and how many have a running package;
  • how many sales were made, and the money collected;
  • the money collected per month, if it can show it;
  • how many visits (check-ins) there were;
  • the expenses total, if you are importing expenses.

Before you press Import

On the history steps, the line above the preview adds up the ready rows. Compare each one with your old system's figure:

StepWhat the line shows
CustomersHow many customers, and the range of their Joined on dates.
Customer packagesHow many sales, the money paid and the range of sale dates: 636 sales · EGP 1,856,950 · Mar 2026 → Oct 2026.
Attendance historyHow many visits, their date range, and the money from walk-ins.
ExpensesHow many expenses, the money spent and their range: 90 expenses · EGP 662,676.95.

The money on Customer packages is what was actually paid. A split payment counts its cash and card parts, and a sale with no amount counts the price you entered in What did customers pay.

A difference here is usually rows that need attention. Check how many there are, fix them, and the totals move up to match.

The finish screen

Once your history is in, Import data shows Owelz now knows your studio's history:

  • how many customers, and when they joined;
  • how many sales and payments, and the money collected;
  • how many visits and past classes;
  • how many expenses, and the money spent;
  • the first and last month of your history;
  • a chart of money in, over time, month by month.

These are the same figures Analytics will show. Then it asks: Does this match your records? If a month looks wrong, find the import it came from in Past imports, undo it, correct the sheet and import it again.

Then check the rest of Owelz

  1. Analytics → Revenue. Set the dates to your history's range. The money collected is the same total as the file's. Two things look different from sales made in Owelz:
    • Under By hour of day, imported sales with a date but no time sit under Imported, no time of day.
    • Imported sales with no Sold by show under No staff (the app). Fill in Sold by in your file if you want them credited to someone.
  2. Customers. The count matches your old system's customer count, less the rows refused or repeated in the file.
  3. Three customers. Open three profiles and compare them with your old system: their packages, the classes left, the end dates and their history. Pick one customer from a family that shares an email, and check each family member has their own sales and visits.
  4. Wallet. Imported sales and payments sit on their real dates with a small Imported tag. Your cash box hasn't moved: you set it once, with cash in the drawer.
  5. Expenses & profit. The months before you switched now have their expenses.

أسئلة شائعة

What should I compare after importing?
The number of customers, the number of sales and the money collected over the same period, the number of visits, and the money spent on expenses. Import data shows each of these before you import and again on the finish screen.
My totals don't match. What now?
Find the step whose numbers are off, undo that import under Past imports, correct the file and import it again. It is far easier now than after a week of selling.
