Overview

Owelz runs the day-to-day of a fitness studio: the schedule, who is booked, which package they are on, what was paid, and what each instructor is owed. It has three surfaces:

The setup order#

Most studios are live within an afternoon. Do the steps in this order — each one unlocks the next.

1. Create your studio

   Sign up, name the company, pick a country and default language. Create your studio →

2. Add branches and rooms

3. Define class families

   Reformer, Vinyasa, HIIT… A class family is the type of class; sessions are the instances on the calendar. Class families →

4. Invite staff

   Admins run the desk; instructors teach and get paid. Roles decide what each person can see. Staff and roles →

5. Create packages

   What you sell: 8 classes for 30 days, unlimited monthly, a private-session bundle. Packages →

6. Publish the schedule

Key concepts#

• Company — your studio business. Everything belongs to exactly one company.
• Branch — a physical location. Packages and staff can be scoped to specific branches.
• Class family — a type of class with a colour on the calendar.
• Session — one occurrence of a class: date, time, room, instructor, capacity, price.
• Package — what a member buys. Grants credits or unlimited access for a period.
• Booking — a member's seat in a session, paid from a package, as a walk-in, free, or by invitation.
• Check-in — attendance. It is what payroll and analytics count.
